My name is Chantelle Douglas. I am Cree from Treaty 4 territory in southern Saskatchewan and Oneida from the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario on my dad’s side, and English, Scottish and Hungarian on my mom’s side. I grew up witnessing the beautiful Sylix-Okanagan sunsets for most of my life which these earrings pull inspiration from. I call this piece pahkisimon meaning sunset in Cree. These earrings are made with love, good medicine and Czech seed beads in the size 11/0
