Nicole Geary | Sahtu-Dene
Nicole Geary, founder and owner of BeadedLegacy, is of mixed Sahtu-Dene and European heritage. She comes from a long line of Sahtu-Dene women from Tłegǫ́hłı̨ (land where there is oil), colonially known as Norman Wells, NWT - treaty 11 territory.
She loves to incorporate bright colours in her beadwork and always works in a mindful way when beading to ensure that the energy going into her creations is patient, kind, creative, and special. Nicole takes inspiration from the world around her and is always brainstorming about new colour combinations to work with, often looking to flowers or the ocean for guidance.
When not beading, Nicole can be found exploring beaches around Lekwungen territory, where she is extremely grateful to have been residing for the last 3 years.
